Requirements

  • Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Office experience in a dentist's or physician's office.
  • Experience with children's dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality customer service to patients and parents at check-in and check-out.
  • Verifying patient insurance eligibility and service limits.
  • Delivering quality and compassionate care to every patient.
  • Greeting parents and patients upon arrival and departure.
  • Keeping waiting parents informed of appointment progress.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk.
  • Verifying patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensuring accuracy in the patient's file.
  • Recording and communicating service limits to the clinical team before treatment.
  • Ensuring patient files are prepared before appointments (pull file, update record, verify insurance and service limits).
  • Coordinating with the Clinical Team Leader and Doctors for same-day care opportunities.
  • Assisting in meeting office financial targets by ensuring full hygiene and operative schedules.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and six-month recalls.
  • Answering incoming calls, directing callers, and taking messages.
  • Making outbound calls to confirm appointments, reschedule no-shows, and follow up on outstanding treatment.
  • Re-filing all patient records at the end of the day.
  • Adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
  • Verifying, informing, and collecting out-of-pocket balances from patients before treatment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Participating in local community events to promote a positive image.
  • Participating in morning huddles and acknowledging team members.
