Requirements

  • Physical ability to assist passengers, including those with limited mobility, and to perform vehicle inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of local and regional traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Strong driving skills daily to navigate safely through various traffic conditions while ensuring passenger comfort.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers, dispatchers, and supervisors to provide clear information and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Attention to detail is critical when performing vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate trip records to uphold safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Operate passenger vans safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport passengers to and from designated locations on scheduled routes or as assigned, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing any luggage or mobility aids as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior to provide a comfortable environment for passengers.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and passengers to provide updates and address any concerns or emergencies.
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
