Bilingual Part Time Teller

About The Position

At Landmark Credit Union, the Teller supports members’ financial wellbeing and represents the credit union positively and professionally. The role performs transactional duties, receiving and paying out funds accurately and providing cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. The Teller also presents and explains basic credit union products and services to members. This is a 25–28-hour-per-week position requiring fluency in English and Spanish, varying weekday shifts, and work every Saturday. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM; and Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Experience with, or the ability to gain proficiency in, all programs and systems used for the job.
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures related to the position and comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and related services to members while maintaining a balanced cash drawer daily.
Cross-sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
Assist in balancing the ATM when this is not performed by an outside source.
Train to perform opening and closing duties with a manager on site.
Train to verify checks for other tellers.
Train to perform overrides.
Cross-train to help in other positions within the branch.
Attend training at headquarters or an off-site location when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
