About The Position

Performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves operating machinery, training other employees, translating communications, ensuring quality control, completing documentation, adhering to 5S standards, and following safety, environmental, and quality policies. The position requires the ability to handle basic issues and problems, referring more complex ones to higher-level staff, and possesses a beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.

Requirements

• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• 5+ years of experience
• Ability to interpret work instructions in both English and Spanish
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions in both English and Spanish
• Ability to read a ruler and/or tape measure
• Basic verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Basic mathematical skills in both English and Spanish
• Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment
• Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English
• Train employees to defined work instructions and SOP’s
• Translate shift start meetings
• Translate conversations
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
