Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands-on externship experience.
- Two (2+) years recent experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of school
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients.
- Always be respectful.
- Strong communication skills – proactively ask for help, etc.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Responsibilities
- Build relationship with the provider to anticipate their needs and save time.
- Open the lab for your team, prepare rooms for patients, print out the schedule and huddle with providers in the morning.
- Take patients to the treatment room, get their vitals and reason for the appointment.
- Perform blood draws, injections, and other lab tests.
- Prepare rooms for procedures.
- Process prior authorizations, medical assistant orders, scheduling patients, lab results, medication refills, and stock patient rooms.
- At the end of the day, you will close the pod labs, sterilize the rooms and instruments, and prepare for the next day.
- Serve your community – you are here for the patients, and they are very grateful.
