About The Position

We are a nationally recognized plaintiff’s trial law firm, founded in 2005, located in Houston’s Heights area. Occupying nearly 20,000 square feet, our growing firm is known for securing results through passion and tenacity. Our attorneys are frequent speakers at legal conferences, have earned accolades for their service, and have handled high-profile cases featured in national media and law school curricula. We specialize in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, truck and car accidents, workplace injuries, product liability, and other tort cases. Our high-energy environment is driven by passionate advocates who prepare every case for trial from day one, handling numerous trials across Texas annually. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, handling inquiries both in person and over the phone, and providing general administrative support. This role also involves disseminating information about our law firm to clients, customers, and the public.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a front desk setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Strong customer service skills and principles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional personal presentation, as the receptionist represents the firm.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Initiative and reliability, including punctuality and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high stress tolerance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a law office is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct telephone calls, screen calls, and relay messages.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate destination.
  • Respond to public inquiries and maintain security awareness.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Manage mail and deliveries.
  • Schedule appointments and organize conference and meeting room bookings.
  • Maintain the appointment diary, both manually and electronically.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
  • Utilize Needles case management software to update clients on the status of their claims.
  • Perform various administrative task as needed.
  • Must have strong attention to details.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for clients, representing Amaro law Firm with professionalism and welcoming demeanor.
