About The Position

Aviso is seeking a Bilingual Learning & Development Specialist for a 14-month temporary position to join their learning and development team. This role will focus on developing and delivering high-quality training programs to CUW Advisor Partners, ensuring content is technically current, accurate, and effectively delivered. The specialist will work with a dynamic team and contribute to Aviso's commitment to leadership, innovation, partnership, responsibility, and community.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of wealth management experience (within the investment and/or insurance industry).
Experience with advisor training, including electronic course design/delivery, in-person training, and/or virtual training.
Familiarity with learning design/delivery software (e.g., Articulate, Vyond) and LMS functionalities.
Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
Strong training, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to deliver learning through various means including virtual classroom, webinars, self-paced learning, seminars, and conference calls.
Must be able to understand and apply adult teaching principles.
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and information.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proactive, self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
Well-organized and able to work effectively to deadlines.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Results-oriented, demonstrating ownership and accountability.

Preference given to candidates with advisor/client-facing experience.
An understanding of adult education/learning styles as well as industry and technological trends in terms of delivery is an asset.
Completion of CSC or CIFC and/or LLQP is an asset.
CFP, PFP or other equivalencies an asset.
Demonstrated content development and instructional design experience an asset.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design and development of technical training programs for advisors, associates, assistants, and leaders, including scoping learning objectives, understanding target audiences, determining activities and collateral requirements, and resourcing.
Deliver live training via webinar and maintain/expand the library of recorded/e-learning training modules for advisor business systems (Dataphile, proprietary software, etc.).
Build and maintain an inventory of advisor-friendly resources and tools, such as reference guides, process maps, helpful hints, best practices, and FAQs.
Provide in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of relevant business areas, including products, policies, practices, systems, and procedures.
Liaise with Subject Matter Experts during the design and development process for content validation.
Stay current on issues concerning CIRO-ID & CIRO-MF regulations and other education requirements.
Conduct assessments of internal departmental training needs and assist with content development and implementation.
Assess, track, and report continuing education credits for the advisor network.
Work on a variety of training projects and initiatives as required.
