About The Position

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Lead Medical Coordinator (RN) to join our residential team. The Bilingual Lead Medical Coordinator (RN) is responsible for assessing, facilitating, and monitoring all components of client medical services within the program. The Bilingual Lead Medical Coordinator (RN) is devoted to overseeing the medical care in a shelter setting with the emphasis on disease prevention, health wellness, and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with State Licensing, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), and all policies and procedures implemented by Trinity Youth Services.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Current, unencumberd Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California, or must be in process to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have a minimum of one year of experience in public health or healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
Should have an interest in working with youth and must fulfill the general requirements as established in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22.
Writing, verbal skills, and the ability to compose quality reports and other necessary correspondence are essential.
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination, drug clearance, criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity’s insurance carrier.
Must be fluent in at least Spanish, verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

Prior ORR experience is not necessary, and training and support are provided by the program and ORR training resources.

Responsibilities

Ensures all infection control, OSHA, CDC, and State licensing guidelines are followed and maintained in all departments.
Standardize medical protocols and workflows across assigned ORR programs to guarantee uniform quality of care, operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local health mandates.
Coordinates and supervises medical staff and is responsible for evaluation of their performance and skills.
Facilitates and/or coordinates meetings, training, and presentations for professional development of the medical staff and other staff as needed.
Provides Oral, written, and statistical reports, presentations, auditing of electronic medical records, maintaining all medical department electronic systems (UC portal) and all medical documents completed and provided by the medical department.
Communicate, coordinate and schedule all psychiatric and psychological appointments for youth when referred by clinical team.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality (including HIPAA), and ethical standards enforced by Trinity Youth Services.
Drive a vehicle when necessary.
