NewRoot Learning Institute brings restorative justice to life in schools by supporting how adults show up with one another and with students, translating values like relationships, accountability, and belonging into daily practice. Through training, coaching, and whole-school approaches, their work has led to meaningful shifts in school culture, including reductions in suspensions and stronger, more connected communities. For nearly three decades, NewRoot has partnered with school communities across Chicagoland, supporting thousands of educators and reaching over 200,000 students each year. The Impact Coach works hand-in-hand with partners to support school and organizational cultures. The primary responsibility for the Impact Coach is to implement high-quality experiential professional learning workshops and on-the-ground coaching support for educators and staff working in and around schools. NewRoot’s services are often implemented in the context of a long-term partnership which includes customized site-embedded coaching and whole-school strategy and system-building support. As part of a highly collaborative team, the Impact Coach works with colleagues daily to deliver dynamic, relevant, and responsive services that help our partners thrive.
