About The Position

The Bilingual Immigration Case Manager is responsible for assisting clients with the preparation of immigration applications, liaising with relevant government agencies, analyzing, reviewing, and organizing documents and data, coordinating document production, maintaining client contact, and conducting ongoing case tracking and management. Additionally, the Immigration Case Manager is responsible for daily clerical operations. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bilingual in Spanish (Read and write English and Spanish)
  • Two years’ experience working in an office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or at least 2 years of college
  • One years’ experience working in a legal office environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client interviews and collect relevant immigration, family, criminal, and procedural history.
  • Assist the supervising attorney or DOJ accredited representative with case assessment, eligibility review, and case strategy.
  • Prepare Adjustment of Status, waiver, U visa, and initial VAWA applications under supervision.
  • Gather, review, and organize supporting evidence required to establish eligibility.
  • Prepare immigration forms, declarations, cover letters, evidence indexes, and related correspondence.
  • Identify missing information, inconsistencies, inadmissibility issues, or other case concerns and report them to the supervisor.
  • Prepare and file petitions and applications with USCIS, the National Visa Center, Immigration Court, or United States embassies, as assigned.
  • Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence and other government notices under supervision.
  • Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, databases, and regular case status reports.
  • Communicate with clients regarding documents, appointments, interviews, case updates, and processing issues.
  • Prepare clients for Adjustment of Status and immigrant visa interviews and provide required documentation.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using immigration statutes, regulations, policies, and case law.
