Reporting to the CHRO, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing HR Support and guidance to the management team in their area of support. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including recruiting and onboarding activities, rolling out HR training, participation in program and policy initiatives, and general employee relations for the teams they support.

Requirements

  • Fluent (speaking, reading, writing) in both English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledgeable/experienced with California employment laws

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that business needs in matters of HR are met for the Western region and Corporate teams, which includes employees in our California facilities as well as professional and remote employees in Finance, IT, Sales & Marketing and Customer Support.
  • Onboarding, assistance with benefits administration, employee leave, compensation, and other Human Resource duties for their region.
  • Local implementation of all HR programs, and policies.
  • Supporting hiring managers with local recruitment efforts for new team members, such as job posting and advertising, reviewing resumes, and 1st line interview referrals of qualified candidates.
  • Accurately collecting and entering employee information on Form I-9, ensuring compliance with E-Verify & SSA.
  • Being a resource to all employees – responsible for addressing employee concerns, answering inquiries, and resolving conflicts. This involves providing guidance on policies & fostering a positive work environment.
  • Facility Engagement – Regularly walking around the facility to check in on employee questions & concerns.
  • Under the guidance of the Compliance Director, conducting local interviews and research in all investigations – EEOC, Harassment, Ethics.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Exit Documents for Terminations.
  • Ensuring all compliance training courses are completed annually.
  • Informing and educating people leaders about best practices in leading their employees.
  • Acting as a liaison between corporate HR functions and the business they support.
  • Assisting corporate HR teams to roll out new programs and communications, and new HR policies and procedures.
