About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations at the Cherokee Distribution Center. This role provides administrative and clerical support across core HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, attendance tracking, and employee relations. The role serves as a first point of contact for employees and applicants while ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of human resources, administrative, or related experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
  • Must speak and read Spanish and English fluently.
  • Experience working in an office environment required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely documentation, and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate and Supports recruiting and hiring activities, including application, screening interview coordination, preemployment process, and onboarding.
  • Translates and offers bilingual communication between English and Spanish-speaking applicants and employees.
  • Supports workforce staffing activities by assisting with applicant communications, interview scheduling, pre-employment processes, onboarding logistics, and new hire orientation preparation.
  • Coordinate and supports recruiting and hiring activities, including application, screening interview coordination, preemployment process, and on boarding.
  • Maintains and updates employee data across HR systems including attendance tracking, performance documentation, security access, badges, and warehouse-related systems.
  • Assists with employee relations and engagement initiatives, including employee communications, recognition programs, bulletin boards, newsletters, and distribution center events.
  • Coordinates routine HR programs and activities such as evaluations, attendance processes, employee recognition, and internal communications.
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for employee and applicant inquiries, providing accurate information and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Ensures confidentiality of employee information and represents the company in a professional and positive manner.
