The Bilingual Human Resources Assistant is an important member of our Human Resources Team, helping create a supportive and inclusive workplace for all employees. This role provides day‑to‑day HR and administrative support in both English and Spanish, ensuring employees feel informed, understood, and valued. Serving as a friendly point of contact, the Bilingual Human Resources Assistant assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee questions, and HR processes while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive employee experience. This position is located at Lakeside Foods Packaging Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Fluent verbal and written proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to translate and interpret clearly and professionally in an HR setting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of Human Resources or administrative experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a bilingual point of contact for employees who have HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
  • Translate and interpret HR documents, meetings, and communications as needed.
  • Assist employees with onboarding, benefits, enrollment, and general HR inquiries.
  • Assist employees with questions.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and interviews.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and completion of new employee documentation.
  • Maintain HRIS data, ensuring employee records are accurate and update to date.
  • Track employee attendance and personnel changes.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedure.
