This role is crucial for ensuring smooth human resources operations, including employee relations, recruitment, recordkeeping, onboarding, and compliance. The HR Assistant will act as a key resource for employees and applicants, while also managing the daily needs of the HR department.

Requirements

  • Experience in Human Resources, recruiting, office administration, or a similar role
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Proficient computer and data-entry skills
  • Working knowledge of labor and employment practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional communication and customer service abilities

Responsibilities

  • Support HR staff with administrative and clerical tasks
  • Maintain employee files and HR information systems
  • Process employment-related paperwork, including new hire and termination documentation
  • Monitor and update driver DOT records and compliance information
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and requests
  • Assist with hiring activities, interview scheduling, and applicant communications
  • Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and HR programs
  • Facilitate orientation for newly hired team members
  • Generate reports and maintain accurate personnel records
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Complete additional assignments as needed
