About The Position

Kansas Children's Service League (KCSL) is seeking a full-time Bilingual Healthy Families Home Visiting Family Support Specialist in Overland Park, KS. This role offers a competitive wage of up to $20.15 per hour and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evening and weekend hours. KCSL, founded in 1893, is a statewide, nonprofit agency dedicated to protecting and promoting the well-being of children and families. Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience working with or providing services to children and families
Ability to maintain professional boundaries when providing supportive services
Able to work flexible schedule which could include some evening/weekend hours

Responsibilities

Build trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model.
Visit families in their homes to provide support in establishing positive home environments.
Promote strong attachments through parent-child relationships.
Encourage the well-being of children and families.
Utilize an infant mental health approach and reflective strategies to strengthen parent-child relationships.
Improve parenting skills.
Teach effective problem-solving.
Reduce family stress.
Develop strategies to positively engage families in voluntary services through a trusting relationship.
Complete initial enrollment visits with families and completes FROG assessment.
Schedule and provide regular home visits with families in accordance with KCSL Healthy Families policies and procedures.
