Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice
  • Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once
  • Efficient and accurate data-entry skills
  • Computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard experience.
  • Basic knowledge of math, alphabetical and numerical filing

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and ensure they are routed appropriately to the right team members.
  • Perform client intake, greet patients warmly, and notify staff of their arrival.
  • Accurately enter patient information into databases to ensure seamless clinic operations.
  • Support the volunteer coordinator in managing volunteers effectively.
  • Follow appointment scheduling procedures and cash handling protocols with precision.
  • Keep the clinic lobby neat, organized, and welcoming for patients and visitors.
  • Process lab results as directed by the Practice Manager to support patient care.
  • Actively participate in the Performance Improvement Program to enhance clinic services.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among colleagues.
  • Ensure culturally sensitive and language-appropriate care for all patients.
  • Encourage continuity of care by supporting patients with self-management education.
  • Attend required safety and education training programs to stay informed and prepared.
  • Operate clinic equipment safely and report any safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow infection control protocols diligently to maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the clinic.
