About The Position

Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, dependable, and bilingual Front Desk/Patient Services Representative to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, organized, and enjoys helping patients while working in a fast-paced medical office environment. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Professional and positive attitude
Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Minimum 1-3 years experience in the medical field preferred.
Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus, Team driven attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and reliable transportation.

Experience with electronic medical records and insurance verification is a plus

Responsibilities

Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
Check patients in and out for appointments
Verify patient demographics and insurance information
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
Communicate with patients in both English and Spanish
Collect copays, balances, and other applicable payments
Obtain and update patient information
Assist with referrals, medical records, and other administrative duties
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
Work closely with clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth daily operations
Perform other duties as assigned
