B&S Site Development is seeking an experienced, highly driven Field Labor & Craft Recruiter to support the hiring and workforce needs of our growing construction operations. This role is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of skilled craft professionals, equipment operators, laborers, utility crews, CDL drivers, mechanics, foremen, and other field personnel across multiple project locations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing high-volume construction recruiting, including staffing large projects in remote or hard-to-fill markets. This individual will work closely with Operations, Project Managers, Superintendents, and HR leadership to proactively identify workforce needs and develop talent pipelines that keep projects staffed and productive. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Travel Requirement: Up to 50% travel to project sites, recruiting events, and workforce development partners as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience within construction, heavy civil, site development, utilities, infrastructure, grading, excavation, paving, or related industries.
  • Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (required).
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume recruiting for hourly field labor and skilled craft positions.
  • Experience recruiting for geographically dispersed, remote, or difficult-to-fill project locations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades and field operations.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruiting platforms, and sourcing tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to construction project sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for heavy equipment operators, utility crews, pipe layers, laborers, foremen, superintendents, CDL drivers, mechanics, and related craft positions.
  • Established network within the construction labor market.
  • Experience supporting large workforce mobilization efforts for major projects.
  • Knowledge of construction workforce compliance requirements and employment documentation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly craft, field labor, and construction operations positions.
  • Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, trade schools, workforce development programs, community partnerships, and networking events.
  • Screen applicants to assess experience, certifications, technical skills, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, project teams, and field leadership.
  • Extend offers and manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, employment verification, and onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and candidate pipelines within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Lead recruiting efforts for multiple active construction projects simultaneously.
  • Successfully recruit and mobilize large field crews in aggressive hiring timeframes.
  • Develop workforce strategies for remote, rural, and difficult-to-staff project locations.
  • Anticipate labor demands and proactively build talent pipelines to support future workforce needs.
  • Conduct hiring events, job fairs, open interview sessions, and community outreach initiatives to attract qualified candidates.
  • Regularly visit project sites to build relationships with employees, supervisors, and operational leaders.
  • Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Operations leadership to forecast labor needs and staffing requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to field leadership regarding labor market trends, candidate availability, and workforce challenges.
  • Promote employee referral programs and workforce retention initiatives.
  • Represent B&S Site Development at recruiting events, industry functions, trade schools, and workforce development organizations.
  • Build relationships with technical schools, veterans' organizations, workforce agencies, and community partners.
  • Support recruiting marketing efforts through social media, job advertising, and company branding initiatives.
  • Promote B&S Site Development as an employer of choice within the construction industry.
