About The Position

The Villages is seeking dedicated individuals to provide family support services to new parents through the Healthy Families program. The Bilingual Family Support Worker (BFSW) will manage and provide client-centered, culturally competent services. This role involves initiating and maintaining regular and long-term contact and support with families, conducting regularly scheduled home visits with a family-centered and strength-based approach. The BFSW will assist families in strengthening the parent-child relationship, improving their support system, and establishing goals, ultimately increasing their ability to problem-solve and advocate for themselves and their children.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, understand, read, and write in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in working with or providing services to children and families.
  • Experience and willingness to work with the culturally diverse populations
  • Knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Regular local travel.

Responsibilities
