Provides in-home intervention to children and their families utilizing a skill based, solution focused model to help families adopt positive solutions to problems through the teaching of skills and behavioral techniques accessing community resources and support. As an In-Home Family Services Consultant, you’ll work directly with families to help them overcome challenges and build skills for long-term success. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Certification as a Parenting Instructor
- Facilitation of family decision-making meetings
Responsibilities
- Providing in-home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
- Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
- Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
- Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
- Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
