Bilingual Dental Assistant
About The Position
This role is for a Bilingual Dental Assistant who is passionate about educating patients on oral health and serving the community. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working on a tight schedule, and enjoys being a key part of a dental team. You will build strong relationships with the dentist, anticipate their needs, and ensure smooth patient flow by preparing instruments and assisting during procedures. Collaboration with a team of 2-3 other assistants is crucial for maintaining schedule efficiency, which includes tasks like cleaning rooms, sterilizing instruments, preparing X-rays, taking notes, and setting up for the next patient. A significant part of the role involves patient education on oral hygiene, including proper brushing and flossing techniques, and reinforcing the importance of follow-up care.
Requirements
- 1 year of dental experience.
- X-ray certification per state requirements (company can assist if 1-year chairside experience is met).
- Training on tooth anatomy, tooth numbers, procedures, and potential procedure complications.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the dentist to anticipate their needs and save time.
- Be one step ahead of the dentist to pass them instruments for the procedure, having checked in beforehand to see if they need additional instruments.
- Work with a team of 2-3 other assistants to help each other with tasks that keep on schedule, such as help clean the rooms, sterilize instruments, load the x-ray, do notes, and set up for the next patient.
- Help the patient learn about oral health care by showing them how to brush and floss.
- Help patients understand why it’s important to follow up with cleanings and post-op care.
- Serve the community by providing dental care.
