About The Position

Acenda Integrated Health is seeking a Bilingual Counselor/Practitioner to join their Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). This program aims to enhance parents' knowledge, skills, and confidence by providing clear strategies for responding to children's needs, creating a nurturing environment, and promoting attachment. The evidence-based model is implemented individually with families in their homes and in group settings. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with families experiencing trauma, mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and child abuse and/or neglect.
  • Ability to facilitate positive interactions and work collaboratively with families.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Spanish proficiency is required for the bilingual rate.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized and group-based parenting support to families.
  • Completes assessments, develops goal-oriented intervention plans, and delivers evidence-based services.
  • Maintains a caseload of up to 8 families.
  • Facilitates 3 Triple P groups annually serving 8-12 parents per group.
  • Conducts sessions focusing on child development, managing misbehavior, encouraging independent routine, and child play.
  • Collaborates with community partners, including DCP&P, and other community providers.
  • Participates in weekly supervision.
  • Ensures timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program and organizational standards.
