About The Position

Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Construction Safety Specialist to join a large construction company in New Albany, OH. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe work environment on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture among all personnel.

Requirements

Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
2 to 5 years of construction safety management experience.
Ability to start this project as soon as possible.
Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
Great communication - written & verbal.

Local to the project preferred, there is per diem available if not local.

Responsibilities

Maintain a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors.
Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements.
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time.
Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions.
Observe work activities across multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) and ensure safe work practices are followed.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and support corrective action plans.
Reinforce positive safety behaviors while coaching and mentoring workers on best practices.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
