About The Position

West End Family Counseling Services is seeking a full-time School-Based Clinician (bilingual Spanish speaking) to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team serving students and families in West San Bernardino County. This position focuses on delivering mental health services directly within school settings, while also providing support in clinic and community environments as needed. The clinician will work closely with school staff, administrators, and families to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic success. This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and experienced clinicians who are passionate about school-based mental health.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Registered or licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, ACSW, APCC.
  • Experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, and families in school or mental health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts biopsychosocial assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for mental health services.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans with goals addressing school functioning, behavioral needs, and family dynamics.
  • Provides individual, group, and family therapy in clinic and on school campuses, addressing issues such as anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, peer conflict, and academic stress.
  • Facilitates structured therapeutic groups for students, families, and caregivers focused on social-emotional skills, communication, coping strategies, and behavioral support.
  • Develops and delivers psychoeducational workshops for families, caregivers, teachers, and administrative staff on topics such as trauma-informed practices, classroom behavior strategies, stress management, and supporting student mental health.
  • Participates in SST/IEP/504 meetings, consults with teachers, and supports schoolwide mental health initiatives.
  • Offers rehabilitation and skill-building interventions to help students improve coping, emotional regulation, and daily functioning.
  • Coordinates care with families, school personnel, and community partners to ensure continuity of support.
  • Completes all assessments, progress notes, and required paperwork in compliance with agency, county, and state standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
