About The Position

Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center is seeking a bilingual clinical professional who is passionate about providing compassionate healthcare and support to women and families. As a nonprofit medical organization, we offer free pregnancy-related medical services, education, and practical resources in a caring, faith-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or CNA who values compassionate care, professionalism, and teamwork. The Bilingual Clinical Assistant works alongside our medical team to provide quality patient care throughout each client's visit. This role includes assisting with medical appointments, documenting clinical information, supporting laboratory testing, educating clients, and helping ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Technician, or equivalent clinical credential.
  • Minimum of one year of patient care experience in a healthcare environment such as a physician practice, outpatient clinic, urgent care, hospital, or women's health office.
  • Experience obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information.
  • Comfortable working directly with patients in a compassionate, service-oriented setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates empathy and professionalism with every client.
  • Is highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment.
  • Is comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and EMR software.
  • Works well independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Is dependable, flexible, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
  • Have a personal Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with the organization's mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience.
  • Women's health or OB/GYN experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records, particularly eClinicalWorks.
  • Experience with specimen collection or laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare clients for medical appointments.
  • Gather health histories and accurately document patient information.
  • Record vital signs and assist with routine clinical procedures.
  • Perform CLIA-waived testing after required training, including pregnancy and STI testing.
  • Educate clients regarding pregnancy, reproductive health, and available services.
  • Communicate follow-up information and assist with care coordination.
  • Enter and maintain patient documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
  • Support physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff during patient visits.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard confidential medical information.
  • Complete required organizational and clinical training programs.
  • Assist with additional administrative or clinical projects as assigned.
