About The Position

Community Servings' mission is to actively engage the community to provide medically tailored, nutritious, scratch-made meals and medically tailored groceries to chronically and critically ill individuals and their families. In addition, we are committed to prioritizing racial and economic justice and health equity in all our programs and Business practices. We are a dynamic and fast-growing agency at the forefront of the "Food is Medicine" field, providing over 1M medically tailored meals annually to clients and their families experiencing illness and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, our work strongly focuses on supporting the regional local food system, delivering high-quality nutrition education to the community, and hosting an on-site food-service workforce development program. Over the past 36 years, the agency has provided 15M+ free, scratch-made meals. Summary: The Bilingual Client Services Coordinator is part of a growing team who is responsible for processing intakes for both traditional and contract clients including, but not limited to, monitoring client records, maintaining the client database, daily communication with delivery team and working with other departments to ensure that client meal issues or concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian or Cape Verdean Creole preferred
  • Demonstrated telephone, verbal, and written skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in direct customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce software a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all client and referral inquiries and responds daily to all client phone calls.
  • Processes all incoming paperwork for client intakes and maintains the client database daily.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with referral agencies and community organizations.
  • Assists in the coordination of client recertification process which includes client memos, phone calls and collection of updated client’s paperwork.
  • Maintains effective communication between the Nutrition, Kitchen, and Delivery teams.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
