About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Bilingual Child Interventionists (fluent in Spanish) to join their team in Fremont, CA. This part-time role focuses on after-school hours (3pm-7pm, 3-5 days a week) and involves directly assisting children with autism in developing vital skills such as communication, social interaction, and self-care. The position requires collaboration with families to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans, aiming to make a significant positive impact on the lives of children and families affected by autism.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
  • Interest in ongoing development.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a company background check.
  • Fluent in Spanish.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience with children is advantageous.
  • Experience with ABA-based behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.
