About The Position

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted, which has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste and loss. Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste. We’re looking for a Bilingual Business Development Representative (English/Mandarin) to join the Canadian Sales team based in Toronto (Hybrid) on June 1st.

  • Experience in business development prospecting is an asset.
  • Experience in a sales role, specifically outbound sales where you have pitched and closed opportunities over the phone and in person.
  • Experience cold-calling, demonstrating the resilience and motivation to achieve high call volumes.
  • Experience managing your own sales pipeline and prioritizing data based on insights.

Responsibilities

  • Sign up restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, bakeries, and any other food retailers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for stores, primarily through cold acquisition via phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Introduce potential partners to Too Good To Go, train them on app usage, and advise on food waste solutions.
  • Research the market to find interesting prospects.
  • Identify decision-makers and generate interest in Too Good To Go.
  • Hit individual and company targets.
