About The Position

Murgado Ford of Chicago is hiring an Automotive Sales Associate to join their high-performing car sales team. This role is for a motivated sales professional who enjoys fast-paced retail environments and wants to build a career in auto sales. The position offers training, support, and strong earning potential. The associate will work directly with customers as a consultative car salesman/car sales representative, helping them find the right Ford vehicle, financing, and options, while delivering an exceptional dealership experience. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as language skills in Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish, or Russian are a major plus and can help build trust, relationships, and repeat business.

Requirements

  • Prior sales experience is preferred but not required (customer service, retail sales, or auto sales experience is a plus).
  • Bilingual/multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply—especially those fluent in Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish, or Russian.
  • Clear, confident communication and active listening skills.
  • Commitment to delivering a great dealership experience and building long-term relationships.
  • Goal-oriented, coachable, and comfortable working in a performance-driven car sales environment.
  • Comfortable using computers, digital retail tools, and CRM systems to manage leads and follow-ups.
  • Valid driver’s license required with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers, identify needs, and provide a professional, consultative car salesman experience from first contact to delivery.
  • When possible, assist customers in their preferred language—especially Spanish, Ukrainian, Polish, or Russian—to improve clarity, comfort, and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn Ford vehicles, trims, technology, warranties, and competitive comparisons.
  • Manage test drives, trade-in appraisals (as applicable), pricing discussions, and purchase paperwork in partnership with managers and finance.
  • Introduce financing options and coordinate with the finance team to support a smooth close.
  • Maintain communication to ensure satisfaction, answer questions, and generate repeat and referral car sales.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly automotive sales targets.
  • Use CRM tools to track opportunities, appointments, and your auto sales pipeline.
  • Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with sales, service, and finance to deliver a great customer experience.
