Bike Valet
About The Position
The Bike Valet is responsible for assisting guests with their equipment, including bikes and luggage, upon arrival and departure. This role involves ensuring equipment is correctly stored, maintaining cleanliness of storage areas, and delivering luggage to guest rooms. Additionally, the Bike Valet will greet and see off guests, operate the hotel shuttle for transportation to the village and other destinations, and park guest vehicles and the shuttle. The position also includes fetching and delivering items as requested and performing additional duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty. The role requires 32-40 hours per week with varied shifts and days, and hours may fluctuate due to the seasonal nature of Whistler.
Requirements
- Ability to assist guests with equipment (Bikes) upon arrival and departure.
- Ability to assist guests with equipment prior to going out and upon return.
- Skill in correctly labeling and storing guest equipment.
- Capability to ensure storage areas are clean and stocked.
- Proficiency in assisting guests with luggage & bikes.
- Ability to deliver luggage to guest rooms.
- Skill in greeting guests and seeing them off, including opening and closing vehicle doors.
- Ability to drive guests using the hotel shuttle.
- Capability to park guest vehicles and shuttle.
- Ability to fetch and deliver items as requested.
- Willingness to perform additional duties as requested.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with their equipment (Bikes) upon their arrival to Whistler, and upon their departure.
- Assist guests with their equipment prior to going out and once they return.
- Correctly label and store guest equipment.
- Ensure the storage areas clean and stocked with necessary amenities.
- Assist guests with luggage & bikes upon arrival and departure.
- Deliver luggage to the guest’s room.
- Greet guests and see them off, opening and closing vehicle doors.
- Drive guests using the hotel shuttle to the village and other destinations as requested by the guests or required by the manager on duty
- Park guest’s vehicle and shuttle in the hotel underground parking
- Fetch and deliver items as per guest or Manager on Duty’s request
- Additional duties as requested by the Manager on Duty
