About The Position

A Bike Park Instructor requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead small groups of all ages through bike park instruction. Current IMBA, PMBIA, TerraMethod, or similar certification is preferred (will train if not currently certified). Must be a proficient mountain biker with the ability and desire to teach others. Will also assist with trail maintenance and rental shop procedures. Candidates with mechanical experience preferred and must be at least 18.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in instructing and guiding people in riding mountain bikes or other outdoor activities
• Basic bike maintenance and trail maintenance
• Prior customer service experience
• Mechanical experience

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with properly sized bikes and protective gear
• Adjust and perform minor maintenance on rental bikes
• Provide guests with a guided learning experience for basic and intermediate riding instruction
• Help maintain trails with basic hand tools
• Handle and accept responsibility for large sums of money
• Sweep and other general cleaning of the Rental Shop
• Other duties as assigned by management
