The Big Ten Fellowship provides an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on administrative experience within a Big Ten athletics department. The program is designed to expand access to careers in intercollegiate athletics while supporting participants’ professional development, leadership skills, and career goals. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development, the Big Ten Fellow Intern will collaborate with the Student-Athlete Development team and other areas within USC Athletics. The Fellow will assist with day-to-day departmental operations and programs that support the personal and professional development, career preparation, and skill development of USC student-athletes. The fellowship provides hands-on experience in athletics administration, with a primary focus on student-athlete development programming and exposure to various functions of a collegiate athletics department. Knowledge of or experience working in higher education or intercollegiate athletics is preferred. An understanding of the unique culture and needs of Division I student-athletes is also preferred. This position serves a large student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for a variety of populations, and is expected to contribute to the program’s demonstrated commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all. This is a non-exempt position with work expected to be performed in person.
