This role is responsible for promoting the growth, profitability, and competitive advantage of aftermarket products and services for Bombardier Service Centers, focusing on the Learjet, Challenger, or Global product lines. The Design Engineer will support the Business Aircraft Services Sales team by providing expert technical guidance and developing compelling value propositions for customer engagements, campaigns, and strategic discussions related to interior modifications. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing products to ensure business acumen, product standardization, and cost containment, as well as ensuring teamwork with vendors, sales, and product administrators for continuous improvement of the product roadmap and portfolio concerning interior commodities. The engineer will also review products in development to anticipate potential technical impacts and act as the engineering focal point for all Bombardier model aircraft during the bid and proposal phase for customers seeking interior modifications. This role involves supporting routine technical questions from domestic and international team members, assisting with customer discussions regarding interior modifications, and representing engineering when interfacing with client technical/program office representatives and suppliers. The engineer will lead and drive multidisciplinary stakeholder involvement to resolve technical roadblocks, risks, and challenges, and support sales meetings with technical insights on high-profile modifications and upgrades. Effective communication with stakeholders (customer, management, team, resources, supplier) is crucial for alignment and coordination, and the engineer will be accountable for the submission of all Engineering Bids.
