About The Position

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Tyndale is one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world, with a mission to open God’s Word to as many people as possible in language they can relate to and understand. The Tyndale Design Team is a group of 20+ creatives who collaborate on projects, especially Bibles. They pursue excellence in their craft through industry research, learning new processes, seeking inspiration, and creating designs that surprise and delight clients and readers. The team values collaboration, humility, and a desire to grow to create Bibles that minister to the spiritual needs of people worldwide. This role is crucial for coordinating the design and creation of Bibles, partnering with Art Directors, Designers, Production Artists, and Product Managers to oversee Bible projects from concept to print-ready files. The coordinator will ensure projects stay on schedule and priorities remain aligned daily. This position is for someone who loves the Bible, enjoys keeping projects on task, handling details, problem-solving complex projects, collaborating with teammates, maintaining workflows and schedules, understanding team capacity, and asking clarifying questions.

Requirements

  • Graduated from college with a degree in business, communications, project management, and/or business management.
  • 4+ years of experience in a project coordinator role
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, time allocation, resource management, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team while demonstrating a service-oriented attitude and anticipating people's needs
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with an ability to communicate candidly and effectively in verbal and written situations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to solve problems and adapt to situations as they arise
  • Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith

Nice To Haves

  • Has working knowledge of Adobe InDesign. If not, is willing to learn.
  • An understanding of design and/or the publishing process is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design of Bible projects from initial concepting through sending files to the printer.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and priorities remain aligned on a daily basis.
  • Partner with Art Directors, Designers, Production Artists, and Product Managers.
  • Keep projects on task, handle details, and check off boxes.
  • Problem-solve complex projects to make them easy to accomplish.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates, helping them succeed and anticipating their needs.
  • Set up, maintain, and follow through on workflows and project schedules.
  • Understand team capacity, individual strengths, and project priorities to appropriately assign and route tasks while balancing workloads across the team.
  • Ask questions and hear what's not being said.
