About The Position

Our client is filling this contract position exclusively through approved staffing partners, so this opportunity is not available by applying directly with the client. The work setting is 100% onsite at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.

Requirements

Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL
Experience with IT work in business intelligence tools and systems (5+ years)
Experience developing enterprise-level Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, including advanced report design, paginated reports, performance tuning, and DAX (3-5 years)
Experience with advanced SQL query writing, including CTEs, window functions, and analytical queries with optimization
Experience with star schema design and fact/dimension modeling
Experience with Snowflake performance tuning, including clustering keys, compute optimization, cost control, RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance
Experience building Power BI semantic models using strong DAX and dimensional design
Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake, including connection modes
Experience with Power BI Report Builder and workspace management, including embedding Power BI reports into web or internal applications
Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and documentation

Nice To Haves

Experience with CI/CD for Power BI and version control

Responsibilities

Design and develop Power BI dataflows and semantic models using dimensional modeling practices
Build advanced DAX measures and analytical logic to support enterprise-grade reporting
Create user-friendly, high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards that meet defined business requirements
Write and optimize complex SQL queries (CTEs, window functions, analytical queries) to prepare Snowflake data for reporting
Collaborate with Snowflake data engineering teams to ensure fact/dimension tables are structured and optimized for Power BI consumption
Integrate Power BI with Snowflake using appropriate connection modes, ensuring performance and data reliability
Document data lineage, metadata, and report specifications to support maintainability and governance
