The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer III serves as a technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex analytics solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). This role leads advanced BI initiatives, develops scalable and automated reporting solutions, and ensures the integrity, consistency, and reliability of data assets. The BI Developer III works closely with stakeholders across finance, human resources, facilities, and administrative domains to translate complex business needs into actionable analytics. This role serves as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights while helping cultivate a culture of data-informed decision-making across SMPH. Activities will include developing and maintaining data visualization dashboards and reports, troubleshooting issues with reports, administration of the report environment, building and optimizing data models, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting data governance. In addition to hands-on development, this position provides technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance in BI best practices, data modeling, and analytics architecture. This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Most work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. The position will require approximately 6 days on-site, spread throughout the year, but otherwise can be performed primarily remote.
