About The Position
This is a 4-month contract role for a BI/Data Analyst focused on discovery. The primary responsibility is to scope each service line, map data sources, and define the metric logic that engineers will build. The ideal candidate is an independent individual who has previously spearheaded similar projects, rather than someone who requires direction. The role involves significant stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation, documentation, and data analysis using SQL.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience, with at least 3 years leading business-facing delivery
- Hands-on experience
- Strong SQL skills for data profiling, analysis, validation/reconciliation
- Experience with requirements elicitation & documentation
- Experience designing metric/KPI logic
- Experience with source-to-target data mapping and data-dictionary/golden-record concepts
- Comfortable querying in Snowflake and/or Databricks
- Experience with stakeholder engagement (kick-offs, working sessions)
- Experience facilitating requirements or discovery sessions with business stakeholders as the facilitator
- Experience writing specs or source-to-target mapping documents that engineers built from
- Recent experience querying in Snowflake or Databricks (or other SQL tools)
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare revenue-cycle (RCM) domain experience (denials & AR, underpayments, coding/assurance, patient pay / insurance discovery)
- Experience with semantic layers / metrics layers and BI dashboards
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics (Snowflake Cortex)
