About The Position

This is a Full Time, Nonexempt position. The primary responsibility is to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health, interacting with a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires knowledge of various regulations, policies, and the impact of addiction on individuals and families. Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and take on related responsibilities is essential. The position serves adults.

Requirements

  • AHCA – Level 2 Screening/ Eligibility
  • At least 21 years old
  • Four years driving experience or more
  • Hold a valid CDL license (when/where required)
  • No more than one (1) Major Violation within the prior three years (DWI, DUI, OUI, OWI, Refusing a substance test, Driving with an open container of alcohol, Reckless driving, Hit and run, Fleeing a police officer, Racing, Driving while license is revoked or suspended, Negligent, homicide, manslaughter or assault arising out of the operation of a motor vehicle, Felony conviction involving a motor vehicle, Using a motor vehicle for the commission of a felony, Leaving the scene of an accident, Speeding violations 25 mph and over)
  • No more than three (3) Moving Violations within the prior three years (Speeding, Improper lane change, Failure to yield or obey a traffic signal or sign, Speeding violations under 25 mph, Texting while driving, Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, Improper use of HOV lane)
  • No more than one (1) at-fault accident within the prior three years
  • Graduation from High School or GED. Will consider individuals without a high-school diploma with at least 1 year of experience in the treatment industry.
  • Current and valid Florida Driver License.
  • Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Violence.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Ethics
  • Knowledge of addictions.
  • Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
  • Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs and their impact on the individual and family.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: Confidentiality, Patient Rights, Professional Code of Ethics, Discrimination.
  • Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid within 90 days of employment.
  • Familiar with community resources.
