Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required for PC I, PC II, PC III).
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (required only at locations operating company vehicles or requiring driving on behalf of the company).
  • Washington teammates must hold a state credential (may be pending at time of hire).
  • ServSafe certification may be required depending on state and local licensing regulations.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience (required for PC II).
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field (required for PC III).
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (required for PC III).
  • For Colorado Residential Child Care facilities (RCCF): Teammates must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or at least eighteen (18) years of age and work directly under the supervision of a teammate over twenty-one (21) years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Mental Health/Psych Tech or CNA certification (preferred for PC I).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including supervision and support for inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization patients.
  • Establish structure and boundaries for patients.
  • Provide bathroom and milieu support.
  • Contribute to the implementation of therapeutic programming, including care delivery and program documentation.
  • Provide mealtime support, assisting patients with dietary needs and supervising meals and snacks.
  • Maintain daily program structure by following the program schedule.
  • Complete observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by a physician.
  • Work with patients on de-escalation and implementing coping skills per treatment plan.
  • Conduct room searches and luggage searches.
  • Take patients out on fresh air breaks and mindful movement exposures.
  • Provide ongoing bathroom monitoring.
  • Take patient vital signs, weights, and urine Specific Gravity (may vary by location and program).
  • Participate in group facilitation and ensure compliance with EHR documentation for group facilitation.
  • Support group outings.
  • Participate in all meals and snacks with patients as needed.
  • Provide meal support through coaching and skills at eating disorder treatment locations.
  • Ensure adherence to the allergy-safety system.
  • Complete all appropriate documentation as needed, including patient observations, meals, and events occurring during the shift.
  • Provide patient transportation as needed for medical appointments, outings, or other facility needs.
  • Distribute mail and packages daily.
