About The Position

JSM & Associates, LLC is seeking a professional Project Engineer or Project Manager to support Baggage Handling System (BHS) projects at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This is an onsite role working directly on ICS conveyor-based airport systems and major aviation infrastructure projects. This is a career-track opportunity, and we are looking for an individual ready to commit to a long-term professional future with our company, with an expected commitment of at least 1 year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Aviation Management, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of project coordination or project management experience
  • Experience supporting technical infrastructure or installation projects
  • Strong communication, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with mechanical systems, conveyors, or industrial equipment
  • Ability to review engineering drawings and installation documentation
  • Interest in developing project leadership and field coordination skills
  • The applicant must be able to successfully pass a drug screen (we promote/maintain a Drug Free Workplace), a driver's license check, and a background check for continued employment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation and modification of airport baggage handling systems
  • Coordinate with contractors, airport stakeholders, and engineering teams
  • Review mechanical drawings, conveyor layouts, and installation plans
  • Assist with project scheduling, documentation, and field coordination
  • Monitor installation activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
  • Support system testing, commissioning, and operational readiness
  • Participate in cutover planning and execution, including occasional night work
  • Track project issues, risks, and change management items
  • Provide field engineering support during system installation and upgrades
  • Maintain communication with the Program Manager and project stakeholders
  • Safety and compliance training as required
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned
