About The Position

Vanderlande Logistics LLC is seeking to fill a full-time Baggage Handling Floor Support position in support of the team located at the Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities outlined below.

Requirements

Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings as required by airport regulations.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a high level of client service.
Qualified applicants must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
Ability to work one of the following schedules:

High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide general and specialized support under the supervision of the Manager or Shift Supervisor to maintain the operation of the Baggage Handling Systems.
Safely clearing baggage jams when they occur.
Assisting technicians with mechanical and electrical repairs as needed.
Manually moving baggage during system outages.
Manually encoding baggage tags when required.
Performing general housekeeping and cleanup of work areas and conveyor equipment.
Monitoring and assisting the flow of baggage through critical areas of the system.
Supporting safe and efficient baggage handling operations throughout the airport.
