About The Position

Vanderlande Logistics is seeking to fill a full-time Baggage Handling Floor Support position in support of the team located at the Houston (IAH) Airport. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined. The role involves providing general and specialized support under the supervision of a Manager or Shift Supervisor to maintain the operation of the Baggage Handling systems. The individual will be responsible for safely clearing bag jams, assisting technicians with mechanical and electrical repairs, manually moving baggage during system outages, manually encoding bag tags, performing general clean-up of work areas and conveyor equipment, and monitoring and assisting the flow of baggage through critical areas of the system.

  • Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail is very important
  • Teamwork and the ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to provide excellent client service

Responsibilities

  • Provide general and specialized support under the supervision of the Manager or Shift Supervisor to maintain the operation of the Baggage Handling systems

  • The starting rate for this position is $15.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location
