About The Position

Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! The System Integration group is currenlty seeking a Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) Technical Project Manager to join our Fleet Sustainment group in San Diego, CA. As a Technical Project Manager you will play a critical role as part of the Integrated Training Systems Installation and Sustainment (ITSIS) support contract for the U.S. Navy.What You Will Do Responsible for the end-to-end performance of assigned field and/or task-level projects. This includes managing the technical, contractual, administrative, and financial aspects. Lead and supervise project personnel, effectively organizing and assigning responsibilities. Ensure the successful completion of all assigned tasks, on time and within budget. Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and maintaining strong working relationships. Exercise independent judgment and advanced analytical skills to resolve complex technical, administrative, and managerial challenges.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in project management including engineering, risk management, financial management, planning and oversight task progress.
  • Five (5) or more years specialized experience performing work in each of the following areas: Demonstrated experience managing projects of similar size, scope and complexity. Demonstrated ability to lead personnel through all aspects of project lifecycle. Demonstrated experience supporting Department of the Navy and/or Department of Defense programs. Demonstrated experience supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs. Demonstrated experience exercising independent judgement to solve non-routine technical, administrative and managerial problems.
  • Four (4) or more years with increasing management responsibility in a supervisory role.
  • A Bachelor’s level degree in Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline related field.
  • Relevant experience within DoD programs may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; OR 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience with Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) systems.
