About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Multi-Skilled Warehouse Specialist is expected to understand and perform at least two warehouse job functions and tasks. The position is responsible for ensuring a high-quality, safe product while minimizing damage, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining a safe work environment and safe practices. The specialist works in multiple positions, potentially at any Bama facility.

The role involves understanding shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes; completing and processing paperwork accurately; assisting with troubleshooting and corrective actions; and following quality standards, including knowing when and whom to contact if a process is not functioning correctly. The position is safety sensitive, non-exempt, and full time. The listed shift is 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Starting pay is $19.40, with a $1.50 shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Complete the certification process in at least two warehouse functions, such as bulk receiving, line support (line driver and freezer input), shipping/receiving, inventory clerk, or shuttle driver.
• Participate in accident investigation and complete follow-up reporting.
• Understand the MER process.
• Understand and follow the COA process.
• Understand warehouse guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
• Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email.
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow warehouse food-safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Understand the MER process and follow the COA process.
