About The Position

Manages the day-to-day operation of beverage service on assigned shift, including the successful operation of VIP Rooms. Ensures that all beverage products served meet established specifications and standards, and communicates variances to the Beverage Manager. Focuses on efficient labor usage, completing daily financial tools and reports, and executing beverage inventory and cost control systems. Actively solicits guest feedback and addresses complaints immediately to ensure corrections and 100% Satisfaction Guarantee invocations. Oversees the safe handling of service equipment and reports mechanical problems. Assists with hiring, training, recognition, coaching, and terminations, and conducts the service education program. Administers performance appraisals, sets expectations, provides coaching, and operational support for beverage employees. Enforces appearance, uniform, and regulatory guidelines. May be involved in cash transactions and performs duties of Food Supervisor and Kitchen Supervisor as necessary. Acts as an outstanding example and credit to Downstream Casino Resort, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional work environment. Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to all policies. Attends necessary training meetings and assists in other projects as directed. Duties are subject to change, and hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old or older upon employment.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years beverage experience including technical experience in beverage service business required.
• Must possess good customer service, employee relations and leadership skills.
• Must possess good analytical abilities.
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Ability to write routine correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
• Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Acts immediately on any guest complaint to ensure corrections are made and the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee invocations are made.
• Ensures all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to the proper department.
• Assists with effective hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations, and other personnel related matters.
• Conducts the service education program; coaches, reinforces, and leads personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
• Understands and administers performance appraisals, sets performance expectations, and provides coaching and operational support for all beverage employees.
• Enforces all appearance and uniform guidelines and all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• May be involved in cash transactions, either as a breaker or as a replacement for the regularly scheduled cashier.
• Performs duties of Food Supervisor and Kitchen Supervisor as necessary.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always.
• Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Attends all necessary training meetings.
• Assist in other projects, as directed.
