About The Position

The Beverage Server is responsible for providing a gracious, kind, and warm level of service that creates a sense of fondness, known as Hometown Hospitality, and delivers Fun for casino guests. The Beverage Server will maintain a high standard of cleanliness according to food service sanitation codes. They will possess extensive menu knowledge, take guest orders, anticipate guest needs, deliver orders, and handle payments. The role focuses on departmental goals of Consistency, Quality, and Sense of Urgency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence/memos.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
  • Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Be punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and participate openly.
  • Consistently provide Hometown Hospitality and deliver Fun, embodying the core values of Fun, Friendly, and Community.
  • Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives, including adherence to Food Service and Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
  • Wash hands frequently.
  • Provide consistent, high-quality food and beverage service to all guests by adhering to sequence of service standards.
  • Utilize upselling techniques.
  • Operate the Point of Sale System according to training.
  • Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of restaurant and bar menus.
  • Clean as you go and clean spills immediately.
  • Use chemicals as prescribed and responsibly, ensuring all chemicals are in properly labeled containers.
  • Assist the supervisor in putting supplies away, adhering to 5S Principles (Sorted, Set in order, Systematically cleaned, Standardized, Sustained) and dating all items.
  • Conduct oneself in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates fondness, as well as a professional, courteous, and responsive manner, reflecting positively on the company and its core values of Fun, Family, and Community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Obtain required license(s).
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and Systems of Internal Controls.
  • Take appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing by any Team Member that they have knowledge of.
