About The Position

Responsible for providing beverage service to all casino customers in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner, displaying a high standard of customer service. This role involves taking drink orders, preparing and presenting drinks, accepting payment, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. The Beverage Server must possess complete knowledge of all job-related procedures, menu items, specials, prices, and the current wine list. They are expected to offer assistance to all guests, handle complaints promptly, and maintain awareness of safety and accident prevention. Effective communication between shifts and adherence to departmental policies and procedures are crucial. The schedule is subject to change, and flexibility in shifts and days, including holidays, is required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Money-handling experience and basic math skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Cooperative, helpful, and friendly nature.
  • Present a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
  • Always be clean and neat, in proper uniform, including nametags, I.D. badge, and slip-resistant shoes.
  • Report to work on time; sign and swipe in properly.
  • Possess complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
  • Ability to attend and pass Care (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively).
  • Understand and adhere to the Cut Off Procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
  • Ability to be a TEAM player.
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
  • Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
  • Must be able to lift at least twenty (25) pounds at one time and grip necessary items (glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, money, etc.).
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods as well as bend, stoop, and twist while serving cocktails.
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.

Responsibilities

  • Provide beverage service to all casino customers in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Display a high standard of customer service.
  • Pick up empty glasses and return them to the proper area.
  • Assist in the preparation of drink orders (icing glasses, garnishing drinks).
  • Work in assigned area, taking drink orders, presenting drinks to customers, accepting payment, and giving change.
  • Maintain a clean station at all times and perform assigned side work duties (stocking coffee, glasses, cream, sugar, beverage napkins, etc.).
  • Clean and replace dirty ashtrays.
  • Possess complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job.
  • Ensure all guests are treated in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Know menu items, specials, and prices.
  • Know the current wine list and have an understanding of different wines.
  • Complete all side work and other duties assigned in a timely manner.
  • Offer assistance to all guests regardless of where they are seated.
  • Uphold standards by setting examples with appearance and work ethic.
  • Work to ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Handle any guest's complaints or problems promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all job duties in the safest possible manner.
  • Immediately notify the supervisor and complete an accident report if a personal accident does occur.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Ensure thorough communication between shifts.
  • Remain up to date on all Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Comply with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and departmental procedures.
  • Perform all other duties specified or assigned.
