About The Position

Zip Beverage is a family-owned and operated beer and beverage distributor proudly serving Western Montana for four generations. The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a team of 4 sales representatives to maximize sales performance, execution, and customer relationships within an assigned territory. This role drives volume growth, distribution, and programming for our alcoholic and non alcoholic portfolio of brands while ensuring alignment with company objectives and supplier standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in computer systems and applications
  • Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position: Bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling with weight in excess of 160 lbs
  • Achieve appropriate training certificates within 6 months of position
  • Valid Driver’s License with proof of no-fault insurance
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and deliver high quality service to our customers
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and comradery
  • Availability on the occasional weekend, evening, or holiday event

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives
  • Manage employee selection, performance, employee relations, and discipline
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs and team sales calls (minimum once per quarter per route)
  • Complete annual performance reviews and implement individual development plans
  • Provide meaningful content and leadership during general sales meetings
  • Drive sales volume, distribution, and execution across assigned accounts
  • Identify business opportunities and develop actionable plans with team members
  • Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Execute supplier and company programming, including Impact Excellence initiatives
  • Review and address retail ads and pricing changes in a timely manner
  • Serve as the primary supervisory contact for all on and off premise accounts in assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and chain buyers
  • Respond to and resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
  • Support new account openings and ownership/license changes
  • Collaborate with operations on merchandising, deliveries, and service issues
  • Participate in reset execution, shelf standards, and category management
  • Manage POS materials and maintain organization in both warehouse and market
  • Monitor product freshness, inventory levels, and quality control standards
  • Oversee draft system maintenance, cleaning schedules, and compliance logs
  • Manage keg inventory and special event orders
  • Cover sales routes as needed
  • Participate in samplings, events, and supplier activities
  • Maintain active market presence with team and accounts
