About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting with product resets in accounts in the market as well as safe handling of products, to include the delivery, check-in, and set-up of product. This is primarily a fast paced, physically demanding job delivering products to stores, bars, and restaurants and resetting store shelves and schematics under the direct supervision of the Delivery Manager and has little latitude for independent direction in duties. The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform the physical tasks related to the reset plan, display, and stocking of our product in client locations. Other primary responsibilities include assisting in other areas of product handling and Delivery. Duties must be performed in compliance with any product specifications or established product specific procedures. At Hayden Beverage Co. we strive to be more than a team. We are a family. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow directions and with necessary attention to detail.
  • Successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug test with a negative result for the presence of controlled substances to be accepted for employment with the Company.
  • Participate and pass random drug tests in accordance with the Company’s established Drug Free Workplace programs.
  • Ability to pass criminal background and employment reference check.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Satisfactory Driving Record- Satisfy Company requirements which include but are not limited to no more than two (2) moving traffic violations/convictions, no DUI, or license suspensions within the past three (3) years or any other driving record that may be deemed as unacceptable by the Company.
  • Minimum liability limits of insurance as required by the company to operate personal vehicles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of basic office equipment, ten key, and entry level accounting terminology.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients while providing high levels of service by communicating clear and timely responses to issues, requests, problems, and regular reporting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully function as a member of a team through communication while engaging in self directed resourcefulness and analytical thinking.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others in person and by telephone.
  • Sufficient visual and mental acuity permits the employee to comprehend written and verbal work instructions and make determination of necessary actions to take to comply with hygiene and appearance standards for the facility.
  • Sufficient visual and manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate safely in a fast-moving environment.
  • Sufficient body mobility, flexibility, and agility to regularly lift and carry objects up to 28 to 60 pounds, up to 500 to 1000 times a day, as well as lift 158 pounds up to 24” off the ground.
  • Must be able to climb up and down forklifts and ladders without difficulty, stand for the duration of the shift and walk an equivalent of several miles per day.
  • Load and operate loaded hand truck safely, pushing/pulling hand truck with weights up to the equivalent of 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to drive multiple hours at a time with stops up to 35 times a day with travel from warehouse, office, outdoor and retail environments.
  • Schedule may vary but workdays can regularly exceed 8-10 hours, must be available for early mornings and or holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the physical tasks related to the reset plan, display, and stocking of our product in client locations.
  • Assist in other areas of product handling and Delivery.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle in compliance with all state and federal safety and administrative requirements, as well as following and promoting the HBC safety policy.
  • When necessary, safely operate personal vehicle to travel between accounts, subject to requirement minimum liability insurance required by the company.
  • Perform pre-& post- trip inspections of delivery vehicle plus complete truck maintenance checklist daily.
  • Verify inventory counts when delivering products to customers.
  • Service customer accounts in a professional manner.
  • Maintain back-stock of product in each account, rotate stock to maintain freshness, stocking shelves at each account.
  • Building and/or rebuilding displays in accounts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular attendance for scheduled shifts, at or shortly before scheduled start time.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
