About The Position

To serve beverages to the members/guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner. This role involves maintaining the bar setup, stocking supplies, greeting guests, promoting specials, ensuring drink quality, processing payments accurately, and maintaining accountability for drink portions. The bartender is expected to attend monthly meetings and always represent the quality of The Ocean Reef Club in appearance, style, and attitude.

Requirements

Previous bartending experience is required.
Previous experience with micros or any other pos system.
High School diploma required.
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.
The ability to carry out tasks and instructions whether written or verbal; being able to recognize signs of intoxication and cut-off if necessary.
All appropriate food and federal and state licenses required for food and beverage managers.

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred.
TIPS certification helpful.

Responsibilities

Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
Requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, fruit and other necessary supplies based on daily business projections.
Working in a clean – as – you – go manner.
Greets member/guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote drink and food specials, and ensure quality of drink recipes.
Accurate check processing in point of sale system.
Accountability for appropriate portions on all drinks served.
Attend monthly meetings.
Always represent the quality of The Ocean Reef Club in appearance, style, and attitude.
Be a team player and provide lateral service.
Follow Ocean Reef Club Associate Handbook and Quality Job Standards.
Be able to endure outside weather conditions; heat, rain, cold, and at times high winds.
Be willing and able to work when needed, including weekends & holidays.
